We are Harry and Ria Hetterscheit, now fourteen years a member of the NMPRS and actively engaged in breeding miniature horses.
Before we bred mini Shetland A welshjes and the welshjes we at the NMPRS ended.
22 years ago we bought Olga welsh one of 105 cm, much too small for the welsh inspection but from a very good line bred with a beautiful palomino color, just a picture to look at. These covered we Celan Scamp who also bred small but this was not so popular.
At Olga was not to see that she was pregnant so we were actually already thinking of who we'd let her cover when our sons two days later came and cried Olga has a foal, we straight legs and yes there was Mon Cherie, a palomino stallion with big black eyes, small and beautiful to behold.
When he started walking, we thought that never goes away from us, because of something you enjoy every day. And how often we heard from, what do you do with that little thing and there you can do nothing, for us it was love at first sight, you never know how it goes, and indeed when we NMPRS heard and to an inspection went we thought was something for Mon Cherie.
We used it on our mini Shetland waiting anxiously to see what he would bring, and bingo, he brought luxury, movement and great characters. By always selecting we now have about 50 miniature horses which have 10 base mares.
Mon Cherie leading provider may certainly call more than 25 offspring have a championship behind their name and he gave more than 50 descendants with a first contribution, we have not gone beyond counting.
In May the minds of us already high, then begin the selection for the inspection, or, also, that we can not at home, that should the premiums, well that is also not too bad, is there somewhere a trailer to borrow what that refers not crazy figure (with Harry it's never enough).
Every year there are more and without our great team of family and friends would certainly not be possible because everyone helps with pleasure and make us almost crazier than we already are. And when we after a busy and hectic but super cozy keuringsdag, where a lot of preparation to is preceded come back with 11x a 1A premium, 2x 1B premium and 1x 2A premium, 4 champions, 2 reserve champions and our pride the jubilee champion we know where all the work done and still enjoying a drink the day is still a considered and each his or her story and if we have the next day at the pasture stand after enjoying all that beauty, I hear myself say again, Harry, next year there is but a few less specify the inspection, he growls like every year, oh that's good, maaaaaaaar, woe if the weather May.

The quality of the N.M.P.R.S. horses in recent years has become much better and we hope that in the future continues to rise and the serious breeders continue with their hobby.
